Pet requirements
To foster a healthy environment for your pet we require the following:
All pets must be on a flea & tick prevention program.
All pets have no prior aggression towards other animals and people.
All pets must be current on rabies vaccinations (veterinary proof required).
All pets at the appropriate age must have received the following vaccinations: Distemper, Rabies, Bordetella and DHLPP (veterinary proof required).
FYI, the DHLPP is a yearly vaccine that is administered to immunize your dog against (D) Distemper, (H) Hepatitis, (L) Leptospirosis, (P) Para influenza and (P) Parvovirus.
To ensure your pet’s comfort the pet owner is responsible for supplying the necessary equipment/supplies needed for the care of their pet, including but not limited to a well-fitted harness (halter, collar, leash etc…) for walks and rides in Wags and Whiskers vehicle. Other equipment could include items such as: pooper scoopers, litter boxes, kitty litter, food, treats, cleaning supplies and medications.
To keep your pet safe and happy the pet owner is responsible for pet-proofing house and yard, and the security of fences/gates/latches. In the event these precautions prove unsatisfactory and your pet escapes, Wags and Whiskers will not be responsible for the safety of any pets and will not be liable for the injury, disappearance, death, or fines of any pet.
Pet owner will be responsible for all medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to a Pet Sitter, or other persons, or another animal by the Pet. Pet owner agrees to indemnify, hold harmless and defend Wags and Whiskers Pet Sitters, in the event of a claim by any person injured by the Pet. Wags and Whiskers is an LLC (Limited Liability Company) and is also insured & bonded.
The owner agrees to notify Wags and Whiskers of any concerns within 24 hours of return.
Veterinarian Emergency Care
In the event that the owner’s pet requires emergency veterinarian care Wags and Whiskers requires the pet owner to complete a “Veterinarian Consent Form” which will indicate the protocol that Wags and Whiskers will follow in the event that your pet needs medical care.
Contract
A written signed contract will finalize the agreement between the owner and Wags and Whiskers.
