About Us
Welcome to Wags and Whiskers
Hi, I’m Sherry, growing up, I spent many days in the company of my grandparents. This early connection led me to pursue a Master’s Degree in Social Work where I specialized in helping elders. I also grew up in a home surrounded by fields, pets and milking cows. My grandparents owned a farm and I loved rounding up the cows with my grandmother.
My love for animals continued and many of my pets reaching old age developed various chronic medical conditions. I learned to treat these conditions under my veterinarian’s care. I became experienced at applying ointments, monitoring respirations, giving medications and even subcutaneous fluids. I currently have 1 cat that we rescued, a grey tiger named Smokey. I am certified in Pet First Aid and CPR by the American Red Cross. I am currently certified in Operating a Pet Sitting Business from the Center for Women and Enterprise in Providence, RI. I look forward to providing your pet with utmost care, that you depend upon. |

Hi, I’m Lois, after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities from URI I worked in Boston as a correctional social worker, counselor and program officer. I have extensive training in emergency
situations from first aid to natural disaster response. Since retirement I am realizing my dream of living in beautiful South County returning to the field I love, caring for animals. I have volunteered with an independent feral cat group that linked cats with a spay/neuter program and I also adopted a feral cat named Sweetie Pie. I have volunteered at our local animal shelter, and presently volunteer at a horse rescue and sanctuary. I am
certified in Pet First Aid and CPR by the American Red Cross.
I can’t wait to meet your pet and to give him or her all the play
time and attention they need.
